Sentieri dell'Ossola

Valdossola, in the extreme north of Piedmont, wedged in Switzerland between the Canton of Ticino and Valais, is a land of large mountains (Monte Rosa, Monte Leone, Arbola and Basodino) and deep valleys covered with woods ( there are seven converging on the Domodossola plain). A natural park (Veglia-Devero), a national park (Valgrande), the Walser villages of Macugnaga, Formazza, Salecchio, the sunny and solitary stony ground of the Bognanco Valley.
