Less than ten years ago, the Julian Alps were a little-known and little-frequented area: who would have thought that these long secluded and hidden mountains would one day become a true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts? And so, after long years of raids and winter excursions and beyond, the Authors have decided to publish this guide which describes all the reasonably feasible ski routes in the four major groups of the Julian Alps: the Montasio, the Jôf Fuart, the Canin and the Mangart, and to make them accessible to a wider audience. For each itinerary, the characteristics were highlighted, according to the now tested standard of the previous guides of the same series, illustrating the technical parameters using a conventional international scale, without however forgetting that when we talk about mountain sports it is always up to the mountaineer, and to him only, correctly evaluate your abilities and motivation, and adapt your activities according to the circumstances.
