This is Grappa, the sometimes sad and melancholic encounter with the mountain abandoned by man for the exasperated and impersonal industrial world, the encounter with history through the countless traces of epic battles fought on the Solaroli, on the Pertica, on the 'Asolone, on the Colli Alti, on the Tomba but everywhere where the furrows of trenches and the remains of posts, barracks and shelters, roads, mule tracks and paths recall the titanic struggle that took place between the two Italian and Austrian armies during the First World War, from November 1917 to October 1918 and invite us to reflect on a grandiose war but also human event in which soldiers of different flags and local populations met and clashed in infinite trials and acts of courage and heroism, of pain and suffering, of honor and tenacity, of mercy and solidarity. The numerous tourist facilities present in the area contribute to further enhancing a vast and pleasant mountain environment, custodian of an important page of world history and of a great naturalistic and cultural heritage to be discovered step by step with 38 more or less demanding but always of great satisfaction.
