Lungo i confini dell'Alto Adige

Alto Adige has always been a border land, or perhaps rather "borders". In this book we take a historical-cultural "journey" along the red thread of territorial demarcation in search of geographical and historical but also linguistic and religious borders. Thirty stories bring to light episodes that are not always known or too often forgotten in South Tyrolean history, such as the passage of thousands of Jewish exiles along the Aurina Valley in 1947, the adventures of smugglers and street vendors or the rite of transhumance in Val Senales. Each chapter is accompanied by insights, curiosities and an excursion proposal to "touch" the places where history was written. The guide is enriched by postcards, engravings and period photos, as well as a series of useful addresses of museums, places of interest and refreshment points.
