The Forlivese Apennines are characterized by a varied and changing landscape which, starting from the plain, first offers orderly and intensely cultivated hills, sometimes interspersed with barren gullies, followed by a mid-mountain belt rich in woods and water, and then culminates, near the ridge, in a series of magnificent forests and prairies. The latter, enclosed in the Foreste Casentinesi, Campigna and Monte Falterona National Park, contain some of the most famous and fascinating landscapes of the entire Apennine chain. 20 itineraries from the Acquacheta waterfalls to the Lama Forest, from Monte Fumaiolo to the Zuccherodante wilderness area, in environments rich in animals and plants that are often rare and difficult to observe elsewhere.
