Alta Valle del Lys Monte Rosa

The Lys Valley, commonly called "Gressoney", is the easternmost of the Valle d'Aosta valleys. In this first volume we will discuss the "high" area, the one closest to Monte Rosa which corresponds to the territory of the municipalities of Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Gressoney-La-Trinité. Here it is possible to practice hiking at all levels: from easy routes along the valley floor between splendid Walser villages, to climbs to mountain pastures or panoramic peaks, up to the long valleys oriented towards the Piedmontese side, where some wild and endless valleys still remain. Last, but not least, peaks and aerial ridges equipped in the presence of the fantastic glaciers of Monte Rosa.
