Every mountain bike enthusiast has dreamed of competing against an entire, large mountain range. This guide is aimed at them, since it offers lovers of "fat wheels" the complete itinerary of crossing the most beautiful mountains in the world, the Alps, created solo by the author in 2005. A fantastic ride between peaks, saddles, valleys and glaciers takes the cycle excursionist from Trieste to Ventimiglia, in a crescendo of physical commitment and emotional involvement. In the first part of the volume, the diary of the crossing; in the second, the 50 stages, carefully described and accompanied by photos, maps, altitude profiles, technical data and information on the stage places. Each biker can thus choose to repeat the itineraries they wish or to build a tailor-made crossing, depending on the availability of time and training.
