The third volume of "On foot in Piedmont" presents 107 itineraries, almost all new compared to the previous edition, through which the hiker can range from the hills near Turin to those of Monferrato, from the Roero to the Prealps, from Ossola to Val Sesia. Great attention is also dedicated to the Piedmont Regional Parks and the plain areas with interesting naturalistic and environmental values. From the great mountains to the rounded peaks of the Apennines up to gentler excursions among the hills and in the flat stretch between the rivers of Piedmont, it is to the authors' credit to have identified and described various routes, for everyone, to be done at any time of the year . Also in this third volume, as in the previous ones, famous and popular places are placed alongside others unknown to most walkers and nature enthusiasts. The guide therefore becomes the starting point for discovering areas that in recent years have seen a flourishing of initiatives aimed at hiking, as well as for understanding the beauty, history and extraordinary variety of Piedmont.
