Valchiavenna Rock

All the crags from Valchiavenna to the Engadine: over seventy proposals for this guide which covers an area as vast as it is full of possibilities, for all levels and for all seasons. After a period of pause in the opening of new climbing sites, over the last 15 years the entire area has seen a new boom in bolting and valorisation of new climbing areas, both in the context of crags (just think of the notable development of the Uschione area, above Chiavenna) and in that of multi-pitch routes, at low and medium altitude: this is the case of the beautiful and sunny Strem face, in Val Bodengo, crossed by a historic route designed by Paolo Cogliati and Nicola Noè and numerous other sporting itineraries, almost all of which were created in the 2000s. A region renowned for its natural and historical beauty, rich in countless sports opportunities in contact with nature and which, being on the routes of the Maloja Pass and Spluga, is definitely suited to large tourist transit.
