This important road axis connected the port of Altinum, near Venice, to the Resia Pass, then continuing through Landeck, the Fernpass and Reutte up to the Danube. Over the centuries it has allowed not only additional sources of income, but also the meeting and intercultural exchange between travelers of various nationalities, characteristics that have remained unchanged to this day. The Via Claudia cycling route offers a modern visit to these regions: 700 km to discover cultural traditions, breathtaking landscapes, gastronomic delicacies from the Danube to the Adriatic.
