Carta geologica del Parco Naturale Regionale dei Monti Simbruini 1:35.000

The geological map of the Simbruini Mountains Regional Natural Park was born from a collaboration between the Geological Survey of Italy - ISPRA and the Park Authority. The map, which represents the geological and geomorphological characteristics of the Park, was created thanks to new surveys and the reworking of the results of research carried out in the Simbruini area in recent years. The main purpose of the Geological Map of the Park is to spread geological culture and offer the possibility of undertaking tourism promotion and dissemination initiatives, with the objectives of socio-cultural development and eco-compatible protection of the territory and environmental resources. The map also allows you to discover peculiar aspects of the territory of the Simbruini Mountains which make the Park a privileged geological observatory in the territory of the Lazio region.
