After having established the technical standards of signage and the general principles of trail planning, the CAI now makes this specific IT tool available to all trail network managers for archiving data relating to the main signs placed at trail intersections. The manual describes the criteria for creating the main signs, and therefore the instructions for operating the "PLACES" application. The usefulness will be first and foremost of the CAI Sections, which will thus be able to take care of the signage on the relevant paths in a more orderly manner, for the operators who will be facilitated in their work in the field, but above all for the hikers who will be able to have better signage.
