Le Dolomiti nella leggenda

In the valleys of the Dolomites there is an ethnic group that knows no distinction between "fairytale" and "legend", but simply tells "contiè"; true stories about fantastic imagination and fantastic stories about the sublime concept of truth, invented stories about historical realities and handed down stories about legendary events. The “contiè” of the Ladin tradition are poetic testimonies of real events; tales of becoming and perishing, of sacred time and profane time, of the eternal alternation between concrete imagination and abstract imagination.
