L'attraversamento invernale delle Alpi

Three friends leave at the end of a particularly cold January to cross the Alps from south to north, between Lake Maggiore and Lake Lucerne. Their destination is the statue of William Tell in Altdorf, in Central Switzerland where they will arrive with boots on their feet and skis on their shoulders after fourteen days of walking. This book is not only a story of mountaineering adventures, which also existed, but also a journey through history and stories: from those of the partisans and the roundup in Valgrande in June 1944, to the much more distant and perhaps only legendary one of William Tell.
