Il lavoro della donna in Valle d’Aosta, Savoia, Vallese

In the mountains, even if history reserves a small space for them, women have always been present, alongside men. Thanks to their work, their intelligence and their sensitivity, they participated in the construction of that new world represented by the mountain. Emerging from a distant past, women look to the future with energy and bring to the new society the fruit of their centuries-old experience and the contribution of their femininity. This notebook presents the life of women in the mountains, in the Mont Blanc villages, through four emblematic activities: the cheesemaker, the winemaker, the teacher, the worker.
