I materiali per alpinismo e le relative norme

With this "Manual" dedicated to materials and tools used in mountaineering, we address the problem of their suitability, describing the tests that led to their approval according to UIAA and EN standards. The analyzes of these tests suggest useful considerations on the correct methods of use and on the limits that each material or tool may present. The CAI's experience in this field is due to the dedication and professionalism of many of its members: they are also responsible for the creation of the CAI "Manual and Techniques" experimental center in Padua, which consists of a mechanical structure for fall and in a laboratory for experimental research, demonstration and study sessions.
