A fascinating journey through the Italian, French, Swiss, Austrian and Slovenian Alps, discovering the most important Alpine architecture projects of the last 25 years. More than 200 works presented: from the great interpreters of contemporary mountain architecture - Peter Zumthor, Gion A. Caminada, Bearth & Deplazes, Valerio Olgiati, Hermann Kaufmann, Jürg Conzett, Cino Zucchi, Gabetti & Isola -, up to the many creations of quality of many local designers. A long introductory critical essay, which contextualizes recent mountain architectural production in relation to the economic and cultural transformations of today's Alps and the history of Alpine architecture of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Above all, an unpublished book, which was missing until today and which was needed, which organically and completely reconstructs the events of today's Alpine architecture.
