Escursioni in Val di Fassa

The author has already described the mountains of Val di Fassa, on the orographic left of the Avisio, in a previous volume. In this new book, however, the mountains on the orographic right are illustrated, and not only from the side that surrounds the Val di Fassa. The beautiful and imposing Dolomite groups of Sella, Sassolungo and Catinaccio are therefore fully covered, up to the Sciliar plateau, and the sweet and green Alpe di Siusi. In the extensive introduction and in the numerous in-depth information sheets, the reader will find the environmental, geological and naturalistic characteristics of the area explained, together with the ethnographic and historical aspects, with particular attention to the cultural peculiarities of this Ladin valley. The main hiking routes are then described in 30 itineraries, including equipped paths, via ferratas and some normal routes of varying difficulty.
