Year: 2008 Format: 16x23 Pages: 140 Photos: b/w col Once a famous and vaunted tourist resort, inviting and proactive, in the second half of the 20th century Agordo transformed itself into the capital of the valley linked to district services, the tertiary sector and even more to the industry (that of eyewear), neglecting the peculiarities that until the 1960s had spread its image as a welcoming holiday centre, especially for families. Today Agordo and the Conca Agordina with La Valle, Rivanonte, Voltago-Frassené, Gosaldo and Taibon Agordino can still rediscover that ancient attitude towards welcoming guests. By renouncing to present themselves only as a stopping point or starting point for more famous and distant destinations in the Dolomite area, they can propose an original tourist offer, with an ancient, simple and sustainable flavour, also rich in the suggestions described in these itineraries. Twenty-five excursions that can open windows onto a landscape that begins in Val Clusa (at the southern limit of the Comunità Montana Agordina) and ends in front of the Civetta passing through Valle Imperina, the Broi, the Còl di Luna, on the routes at the base of the Agnèr , Moiazza and the San Lucano Valley, but also in many other equally beautiful locations, part of a captivating scenario, of certain cultural and naturalistic value.
