Year: 2010 Pages: 142 A flow of memories, anger and emotions arise during the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. While walking or resting observing the landscape he is crossing and experiencing the most disparate encounters, the protagonist, Ivo, professor of philosophy and history, libertarian and passionate, builds a network between the real and the dreamlike of his experiences, his origins, of his relatives known directly or from the stories of the elderly, of a world gone by and completely different from the current one. In a certain sense Ivo represents the writer's alter ego or, more specifically, the predisposition somehow ignored or repressed by the author, to be identified in Leo, the close friend, all of a piece and with very clear ideas who , regularly, when he confronts Ivo, he realizes that, perhaps, some piece of life has been lost. It is the story of a journey, of continuous change. Day by day imperceptibly but constantly, the traveler finds himself different, simpler, essential and purified, not by religion but by the catharsis that solitude, thoughts, memories and fatigue impose on him.
