Via degli Abati

The volume is the first of four books dedicated to the historical paths of the Parma Apennines and presents the Via degli Abati, from Bobbio to Pontremoli. The Via degli Abati, so called because it connected Pavia and Pontremoli, through Bobbio, Bardi and Borgotaro and following the important direction of the foundations dependent on the monastery of San Colombano, crosses the ridge through the Borgallo and Bratello passes to then reach Lunigiana and rejoin the Via Francigena.
