Dolomiti senza confini + carta 1:25.000

The Dolomite high via ferrata which erases borders and in nine challenging stages brings together 12 via ferratas and 17 Alpine refuges in a circular route, overcoming provincial, national and linguistic borders. Overall, between via ferratas and hiking trails, you can travel 125 kilometers and 12,000 meters of altitude difference, always immersed in the Dolomites, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The route follows the historic routes along the First World War front. Keeping away from roads and towns, it connects the Italian provinces of Bolzano and Belluno and the Austrian province of East Tyrol. This circular route, which is proposed as a high route in the name of peace, was inaugurated exactly 100 years after the end of the war, on the initiative of Bepi Monti (the manager of the Carducci Refuge) and thanks to the support of a project European. The underlying idea is that the mountains should not represent a barrier, but rather a meeting place between different peoples, languages and cultures. Dolomites without borders therefore reflects the idea of a united and supportive Europe, precisely without borders. Even Reinhold Messner, who has spent his life underlining how mountains represent an element of unity, was immediately and still is enthusiastic about this initiative, and has contributed concretely to the project together with numerous other supporters.
