Acquatrek in Sardegna

Acquatreks, or water trekking, are an almost unknown and uncommon activity in Italy. It is, as the name suggests, a form of river hiking, which is practiced by following the bed of a stream or river, often simply walking along the riverbed, sometimes swimming in crystal clear lakes. The wild Sardinian mountains hide and protect numerous waterways, but only some have the characteristics to be a destination for an aquatrek. In this guide we have selected and described ten of different difficulties, from the simplest to the most technical.
